When I sat down to write this article, I asked myself: what would my audience really want to read? what do they want to discover? and what can I bring them that's new? Something that speaks to them!
I had an idea, but I wasn't sure! Sometimes you think you know people well, but believe me, they know better themselves.
So I started reading articles and questions on Quora, LinkedIn which allowed me to really understand what some people are looking for and how they want to receive or have information or product.
Well, I exaggerated a bit in the title, you don't have to have coffee with your whole audience, but it's a way of saying that you have to listen to them and really pay attention to what they say and do. It's the best way to understand them.
It's not about you! It's about your audience!

When we start a project or a business, most of us are so focused on what we're creating, and on the person we're going to become, but we forget the most important thing, and that's the people we're going to serve. You can't exist without other people! Your product can't be on the market without people buying it! Your book can't be a bestseller if it's only read by you and your family! I could go on with 100 more examples...
I think you understand! It's not about you! It's about your audience! The first thing you need to pay attention to is people, by asking yourself a simple question: Who am I serving? Having determined your audience, you now need to get to know them.
For me, there's three ways to really get to know your audience:
The first and the most common one is Creating Buyer Personas: Developing detailed buyer personas can help you empathize with your audience and tailor your marketing efforts accordingly. Consider factors such as age, gender, occupation, interests, and purchasing power to create accurate and relatable personas.
The second is to get involved in online communities and forums: Participate in online communities and forums related to your industry or niche. Pay attention to the language, questions and topics that come up frequently, as they can inspire your marketing content and help you respond directly to your audience's needs. By actively listening to and participating in these communities, you can gain valuable insights into their challenges, interests and preferences.
The third and final point is market research: Gather information about your target market, including demographics, preferences, needs and behaviors. Create questionnaires to gather data from your audience, or analyze existing data to extract useful information, such as customer feedback or sales data. This information can help you understand your audience's online behavior and buying habits.
Trust the people that you are serving :
You may be a business owner, and you may know more about your business or product than others, but that doesn't make your product special or indispensable in the marketplace. What really makes it important is customer demand - the people who will buy it, use it and recommend it to others.
That's why you need to build trust with the people you serve.
Trust is earned through consistent action and open communication. It starts with understanding your audience's needs and delivering on your promises. By sincerely listening to their feedback, addressing their concerns, involving them in co-creation processes and actively listening to their suggestions, you show that their opinion matters to you.
And that's the best way to build a mutually beneficial relationship based on trust and respect.
